Approach

The School for Spiritual Liberation, the flagship program, guides intimate cohorts through a nine-month journey of transformation. The curriculum weaves together the Enneagram with a rich array of complementary practices: Tarot, somatic awareness, shamanic journeying, active dreaming, psychological inquiry, ritual work, and other sacred practices for inner exploration.

Grounded in both ancient wisdom traditions and contemporary psychological insights, this journey is enriched by the power of community support and shared wisdom. Each cohort creates a dedicated space for deep exploration, where individual insights contribute to collective understanding, and where transformation unfolds within a container of mutual support and sacred witnessing.

The Experience Each month includes:

  • Individual reflection and integration time

FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions about The Observatory's School for Spiritual Liberation

  • What is The Observatory?

The Observatory offers programs and experiences for spiritual exploration and growth, with its inaugural offering being the School for Spiritual Liberation - a 9-month journey using the Enneagram as one of its primary lenses for transformation.

  • Do I need prior experience with the Enneagram to participate?

Yes, some prior knowledge of the Enneagram and an understanding of your type is required. If you're new to the Enneagram or uncertain about your type, we offer pre-program one-on-one sessions to help establish this foundation before the program begins.

  • What is the time commitment?

The program meets one weekend per month for intensive sessions: 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM Eastern Time (ET) on both Saturday and Sunday of the same weekend (including breaks, lunch, and integration time). These sessions include a thoughtful balance of teaching, practice, and rest periods. Additionally, participants are encouraged to engage in daily practices and integration work between sessions. The specific weekend dates will be provided upon registration.

  • Is this a religious program?

No. The Observatory is not affiliated with any specific religion. While we draw inspiration from various wisdom traditions, our approach is spiritual but not religious. We welcome people of all backgrounds—including those who don't identify with any spiritual tradition. We also explore religious trauma, often through the lens of Christianity, as that is my personal experience, but the conversation is always open to diverse perspectives.
